High stability in near-infrared spectroscopy: part 1, adapting clock techniques to optical feedback

چکیده
Optical feedback is an efficient way to narrow and stabilise semi-conductor lasers. As a step forward for ultra-stable, yet highly tunable sources, we developed new prototype of three-mirror V-shaped optical cavity (VCOF). It made precisely machined Zerodur spacer, that holds 3 contacted mirrors forming high finesse cavity. This arrangement allows the resonant light be sent back seeding laser, triggering drastic narrowing emission linewidth well below mode width without need high-bandwidth active electronic lock laser on Low expansion material precise temperature control reference leads source with Hz level frequency drift 70 Hz-level at 215 THz. We discuss benefits this compared its predecessor high-sensitivity ring down spectroscopy (CRDS). To serve purpose, stabilised was characterised short, mid long time scales, using etalon, self referenced comb term saturated CRDS absorption Lamb dip measurement water.

brain near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs)
near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) is a spectroscopic method that uses the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. typical applications include medical and physiological diagnostics. nirs can be used for non-invasive assessment of brain function through the intact skull in human subjects by detecting changes in blood hemoglobin concentrations associated with neural activity, e.g., ...

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is one of the diseases that have grown dramatically in today's societies. People with diabetes should continuously measure their blood glucose level. Continuous blood glucose measurement by commonly used methods is painful and difficult. On the other hand, mobile phone can be a useful tool for accessing physicians and telemedicine services more easily. The aim of...

متن کاملNondestructive Firmness Estimation of Tomato Fruit Using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy
Today, nondestructive methods are widely used to determine the quality of agricultural products. Meanwhile, visible and near-infrared (Vis/NIR) spectroscopy is regarded as one of the most widely used methods in the field of quality assessment of agricultural products. In this study, a system was developed to measure the Vis/NIR spectra of tomato fruit samples in the half-transmittance mode of m...
متن کاملOptical Imaging of the Motor Cortex in the Brain in Order to Determine the Direction of the Hand Movements Using Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)
Introduction: In recent years, optical imaging has attracted a lot of attention from scholars as a non- aggressive, efficient method for evaluating the activities of the motor cortex in the brain. Functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS (is a tool showing the hemodynamic changes in a cortical area of the brain according to optical principles. The present study has been de...
